One Thing Leads to Another

I recently decided to purchase a hydrangea bush for my garden.   I knew the perfect spot for it and  excitedly began digging the hole for my new treasure.  The digging was easy and the plant was secured within minutes.  I stood up and noticed one of the nearby trees needed to be taken down.  There were still many saplings left around it and I knew the sacrifice of this one tree would allow for new growth.

From the decision to cut one tree came many more decisions to create beauty and order… after several hours, I had cut back 8 feet of blackberry bushes exposing a beautiful tangle of grapevines and honeysuckle which had been hidden in the bramble.  I am very happy knowing that very soon, a structure will be built to support the grapevines.  The honeysuckle vines are now free to wind their way around the other trees and provide their lovely shelter and aroma.

I’ve discovered over time that one small decision and one small desire can lead to many changes…  who knew the decision to buy one plant would create even more beauty than I could have imagined.  I look forward with pleasure to sitting under my grapevines and enjoying the afternoon refuge from the hot summer sun.  I look forward to harvesting the delicious grapes in the fall.  I look forward to picking blackberries, smelling the sweet aroma of the honeysuckle and hearing the buzz of the bees and the hummingbirds.

I am writing about this experience to demonstrate the process of manifesting one’s desires.  I hold onto the vision of the beauty and make difficult decisions as I proceed.  Yes, there are some painful pieces - letting go of one thing to make room for another or sometimes eliminating obstacles in order to open to a new dream.  The important thing is to begin to take action to empower your desires.

As we look towards opening to new possibilities, there will be many decisions to be made.  During the process always stay in trust… trust the vision, trust the support and ask for help, trust each step knowing that each one creates energy for the next…  As you begin the journey to your new desire, celebrate your choices and the work involved in achieving them.

Today I….
Create a vision for myself….
Trust the process….
Take action towards achieving my desire….
Welcome change….
Release obstacles and move forward with ease….
Celebrate my choices…
And so it is…
